Mission & objectives

The ASV offers programming that covers six major areas: English language teaching and learning, educational orientation for students interested in studying in the U.S., cultural programs, Alumni programs (participants in State Department exchange programs), information about the United States and skills development for the 21st century.

The ASV collection includes online resources for English language study and will conduct all kinds of English language related activities (e.g., language Exchange and tandems, news hour discussions, conversation and game time, Family fun evenings, etc.).

EducationUSA is the official source of information on higher education in the U.S. for the U.S. Department of State. Its objective is to guide students interested in pursuing undergraduate and graduate studies in the U.S. ASV regularly collaborates and participates in its events.

Screening of American films, art exhibitions, music, literature, lectures, workshops, etc.

The ASV will serve as a platform for alumni of various U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs to share their experiences.

It includes U.S. expert programming, collection of online resources, and sources of information on a wide variety of topics. The ASV will host lectures, both in-person and virtual, on a variety of topics such as U.S. visa information, information on U.S. history, and hot topics such as employability and entrepreneurship. Through access to various U.S. databases contained in eLibraryUSA, and the lending of e-books, the ASV will provide access to materials that are not commonly available to the general public.

A wide range of workshops in computer programming, robotics, 3D printing, media literacy, entrepreneurship and climate action that empower current and future leaders to develop skills that will help them meet global challenges and support inclusive and sustainable economic growth.

Our activities are geared to emphasize 21st century practices and skills (intercultural communication, critical thinking, technology-STEAM programs) and multifaceted opportunities to learn the tools necessary to achieve our goals in a globalized world.

Inspiring girls

The U.S. Embassy, the Inspiring Girls Foundation and the U.S. NGO Empower Peace, are looking for 30 girls in the 4th grade of ESO to be part of the 2nd edition of the "Inspiring Girls American Space Club".
