AMERICAN MUSIC CHORUS

WITH DIRECTOR IRA SPAULDING

FALL 2024

Join us to learn more about American folk, jazz and Negro spirituals with Director Ira Spaulding.

Objectives:

• Learn basic vocal production, range, rhythm, intonation, breathing, etc.
• Enhance English language communicative competence
• Strengthen teamwork, cooperation and creativity

Requirements:

• Knowledge of English is recommended but not obligatory.
• No prior choral experience is necessary and sessions are free.
• We request that you are committed to attend rehearsals.

Dates for Rehearsals (usually on Wednesdays, 18-20h):

• September 11-12: Auditions for placement and general information session (TBC)
• September 25; October 2, 7 (Monday), 16, 23, 30; November 6, 13; December 4, 11, 18
• We will also meet on Saturday, the 9^th and 30^th of November (time TBC).
• We hope to offer a concert on Friday, the 13^th of December (final date/time TBC).
